Electrical Engineer

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
-
Under the supervision of the Technical team leader, manage all
electrical work related to the development of the floating offshore wind
projects in the region of Ulsan.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
-
As an electrical engineer, have experience in participating in wind
projects, be able to design concepts for electricity, and be able to review
detailed drawings.
-
Experiences in participating in projects for renewable energy sources
(wind and solar energy)
- Experience performing and / or reviewing studies required for Electrical
Business License(EBL), Grid Interconnection Agreement(GIA), Permit For
Development(PFD) application.
-
Experience with the coordination of grid studies and in the process of
securing interconnection conditions with Kepco.
-
Supporting for engineering of the offshore substation, cables and
onshore substation and cables
-
Ensuring that electrical activities are in accordance with applicable
standards (e.g. the Grid Code)
-
Providing inputs to CAPEX economic modelling on Cables, On/Offshore
Substations, grid connection.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
-
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
LANGUAGES
-
The project has an international
team of employees and the working language is English.
-
Candidates need to be fluent in
Korean and English both spoken and written.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
-
A minimum of 6 years experience within the power / energy sector with
experience of working on electrical systems.
-
Relevant experience in the design of HV electrical systems.
KNOWLEDGE
-
Knowledge of electrical system design and techniques is essential.
-
General understanding of the key concepts related to Wind Turbine.
-
Experience working with design and drafting softwares (e.g., AutoCAD).
-
Direct experience of subsea cable design, manufacture and installation
is preferred.
-
Experience in offshore wind farm cables and substations project
engineering/package management is preferred.
-
Specific knowledge of the standards associated with electrical system
design of grid connected power projects is required, including knowledge of key
aspects of the country regulatory regime such as the Grid Code is required.
-
Specific knowledge of the design, construction and commissioning of
electrical transmission assets is desirable.
-
Specific knowledge of electrical and Scada aspects of wind turbine
technology is desirable.
-
Knowledge of the Korean offshore transmission regulatory regime is
desirable.

Ability to coordinate between multiple interfacing parties (internal and
external) in order to successfully manage interfaces in a multi-package
